Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs laboratory procedures i.e. hematology, biochemistry, serology, urine analysis etc. in the laboratory services department.Perform venipuncture on micro sample collection of blood samples, which include sole responsibility for insuring proper patient identification.
• Assist laboratory personnel in solving technical and proficiency problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all instrumentation and equipment.
• Review all proficiency testing results with the Chief of Laboratory Services.
• Assist in the accumulation of the laboratory statistical reports.
• Observe body substances isolation procedures at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of any work area in the laboratory services where assigned.
• Prepare, label, dispense and store all prepared solutions as required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Clinical Laboratory Science.
• Valid SCFHS as a Laboratory Specialist.
