Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a comprehensive range of interventional radiology services, including but not limited to angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainage procedures, and various vascular interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental protocols and standards.
- Engage in medical education and training for junior medical staff and medical students.
- Conduct research activities and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in interventional radiology.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to audit and quality assurance activities.
- Take part in the on-call rota and emergency interventions as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Medical degree recognized by the General Medical Council (GMC) (MBBS or equivalent).
- Completion of Higher Specialist Training in Radiology (or equivalent) leading to a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Clinical Radiology.
- Subspecialty fellowship in Interventional Radiology (or equivalent).
- Full registration with the GMC, including a license to practice.
- Proven experience in the practice of interventional radiology and relevant clinical procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Eligible for UAE License/DHA
Desirable:
- Additional qualifications or certifications relevant to interventional radiology.
- Experience in research and academic contributions, including publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Involvement in teaching and training of other healthcare professionals.
