Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced School Nurse to join our school community in Amaala. This is a permanent, fulltime position with responsibility for student health, wellbeing, and medical compliance in a unique and highresponsibility environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, manage, and operate the school medical clinic
  • Provide first aid, routine medical care, and acute response for students and staff
  • Develop and implement medical procedures, protocols, emergency and evacuation plans
  • Maintain accurate medical records, including allergies, conditions, medications, and interventions
  • Ensure the school meets all local legal health and medical requirements
  • Liaise with local clinics, health authorities, and emergency services
  • Communicate clearly and tactfully with families regarding student health matters
  • Support the admissions process by advising on medical suitability and required accommodations
  • Deliver health education sessions to students on ageappropriate topics
  • Provide basic first aid training to staff
  • Support school events requiring medical cover outside regular hours (typically 1–2 times per month)

Important context: The role carries significant responsibility due to the school’s remote location meaning there is no hospital in the immediate vicinity. Strong judgement, calm decisionmaking, and excellent preparation are essential.

Working Hours

  • Sunday to Thursday, 07:00–15:30
  • Occasional additional hours for special school events

Requirements

  • Female candidate (as required under local regulations)
  • Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) nursing license, eligible for school employment
  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Ability to communicate confidently and sensitively in English with students, staff, and families
  • Highly organised, calm under pressure, and discreet
  • Comfortable working in a startup school environment with evolving systems
  • Willing to take initiative and contribute beyond a narrowly defined role
