Position Overview

Responsible for administering and interpreting psychological assessments and assessing psychological difficulties and providing therapy to patients. You will work closely with individuals to help them manage their emotions and improve their well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret psychological assessments and tests with the intent of addressing elements and levels of functionality, psychopathology and other measures of distress.
• Use psychological assessments and tests to design and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Interpret and apply research methodologies to evaluate empirical and theoretical research, especially as it relates to psychological testing and measurement, diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Conduct in-depth counselling and therapy interviews and utilize existing theoretical models to interpret information.
• Provide debriefing to patients after a concern has occurred.
• Nurture and support patients and encourage them to develop self care while finding a balance in life.
• Develop and deliver group counselling and psychotherapy materials. Write case notes including the patient’s history and treatment plans.
• Participate in professional development activities and remain current with frequent developments in a specialized field of study

Qualifications

• Valid DOH/DHA license to practice as a psychologist
• Strong understanding of psychological theories and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathetic and patient approach to therapy
• Ability to work with diverse populations

Qualifications & Experience

• Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD).
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
• Strong knowledge of international fertility standards.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, Arabic speaker is a must.
