Ensuring and promoting Nursing Education in supporting patient participation in their care process and care decision. Implementing the Nursing and Patients Education Plan and standards, teaching strategies plus Continuous Educational In-service training programs on staff professional development and advancement.
Job Summary Formulate, plan and submits clinical educational activities designed to promote, support and enhance quality and safe nursing care.
Ensures training programs for nurses, midwives and non-nursing staffs as required.
Responsible and accountable for the enhancement and maintenance of nursing skills in all clinical areas.
Ensures Nursing process in the provision of quality patient care, in meeting needs, satisfaction and safety goals.
Provide professional mentorship for nursing staff.
Promote and safeguard the hospital regulations that includes
DOH and JCI standards
Quality and Patient Safety Goal standards.
Hospital Infection Control and Prevention requirements.
Patient and Family Education and Patients Family Rights.
Hospital Safety and Emergency Contingency Plan and programs.
Medical Records standards and requirements.
Co-ordinates and reports all educational activities to Nurse Manager and Charge Nurses.
Job Requirements Specialized Knowledge/Skills: With advanced educational/teaching skills.
With excellent interpersonal skills.
Able to communicate effectively in English and Arabic.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to motivate others to improve services.
Leadership, communication, conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
Administrative skills to effectively manage and direct staff and services.
Promote conflict resolution and facilitate staff development.
Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence of nurses.
Education/Licensure Bachelor’s degree in nursing, preferably with Master’s Degree in Nursing in an accredited college or university.
Current and valid License from DOH
License from the country of origin (if applicable)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate, ACLS & PALS
Professional Experience With at least 3 years related experience including 1 year experience in senior level in a recognized healthcare institution.
Three (3) years as Clinical Instructor/Nurse Educator experience, including experience in patient care management.
