Job Description
Provide comprehensive care to newborns requiring intensive medical attention, including premature infants and those with birth defects or severe illness.
Manage and supervise the operations of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), ensuring high standards of clinical care.
Perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and design individualized treatment plans.
Work closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
Provide parental guidance and support, including counseling on neonatal conditions, prognosis, and ongoing care needs.
Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to DOH regulations and hospital policies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay up-to-date on best practices in neonatology.
On-call duties as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
DOH License as a Neonatology Specialist (Mandatory)
Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) and relevant specialization in Neonatology
Minimum [5] years of clinical experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Board certification in Neonatology (if applicable)
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Arabic language proficiency preferred
