Job Title: Microbiology Specialist

Job Description:

The Microbiology Specialist is responsible for performing microbiological tests and procedures to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. The role ensures proper operation of laboratory equipment, adherence to quality standards, and the delivery of reliable and timely test results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret microbiological tests and procedures, including culture, identification, and susceptibility testing.
• Operate, maintain, and monitor laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results in accordance with quality standards.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements, particularly for handling infectious specimens.
• Maintain proper documentation of laboratory activities and test records.
• Support quality control and quality assurance activities within the microbiology laboratory.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow and patient service.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Medical Technology, or a related field.
• 0–1 years of relevant microbiology laboratory experience.
• Saudi national required.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
