Job Description
- Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.
- Actively participate in the Medical Center’s on-going Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Programs and other In-Service Training Programs
- Act as a translator if needed
- Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the Head of Department
Responsibilities
- Maintains interface with departmental personnel to ensure there is adequate space and facilities for patient care and coordination of facilities.
- Investigate patient/visitor concerns and implements appropriate courses of action.
- Patient feedback analysis & documentation of results.
- Oversee activities in Out-patient and Inpatient department.
- Take corrective action in situations requiring immediate intervention, including interpretation and administration of medical centre policy and work rules.
- Obtain adequate facts and evaluates data to identify and intervene in actual and/or potential safety and risk management issues.
- Communicate pertinent information (verbal and/or electronic) in a timely manner to medical canter administration and department leadership.
- Document pertinent information, actions and decisions and communicates to appropriate leadership.
- Support clinical, operational and facility services throughout the entire Medical centre on a 16-hour basis.
- Collaborate with clinical and support staff to foster delivery of quality care.
- Assist in evaluating and reassigning staff during crisis situations.
- Participate in JCI activities.
- Provide on-site management/leadership of crisis situations to prevent or minimize disruption of services.
- Monitor emergency action procedures and coordinate activities related to patient/staff evacuation as needed.
- Function as on-site coordinator for internal/external disasters or other major events.
- Intervene in situations involving patients, visitors, medical centre staff and other external customers.
- Participate in medical centre quality program and be member of quality committees if chosen.
- Work is carried out within general policies, principles and goals, and is subject to direction only for guidance on policy issues.
- Attending Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs as a mandatory requirement.
- Being compliant with all OSH policies & procedures and legal requirements regarding Occupational Safety and Health Management System.
- Comply with the established OHSMS procedures of which they have been informed, instructed and trained.
- Actively participate along with line management towards implementation of OHSMS requirements.
- Report to the respective manager any potentially hazard, unsafe act or condition, which may cause EHS impacts.
- Report all EHS hazard, near miss and incidents to the respective line manager.
- Conducting his/her task in a healthy and safe manner at all times.
- Reporting any untoward events that will impact the occupational, safety & health of patients, staff, contractors, facilities, operations, etc.
- All employees are personally accountable for their actions and are responsible for ensuring that they comply with infection prevention and control policies.
- Health care workers are responsible for identifying infectious conditions that require specific controls to protect themselves and their patients. In addition, they are responsible for notifying the infection prevention.
Qualifications
- Suitable University Degree preferable MBA or Master Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years in Medical Centre or similar organization with at least 2 years in similar position.
