Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Offer Speech Therapy services by visiting patient home. .
- Daily prepare medical bag to fulfil patient needs.
- Therapist must reach his visit according to his schedule time.
- Have responsibility to keep the equipment and tools sterilized before and after each session.
- Identify the speech and communication difficulty or disorder.
- Assess the cause and nature of the problem, for example, congenital problems (such as cleft palate) or acquired disorders after a stroke or injury.
- Devise and deliver a suitable treatment programme, working on a one-to-one basis to enable each of your patients to improve as much as possible.
- Monitor and evaluate your patients progress.
- Advise carers on implementing a treatment programme and train other professionals in therapy delivery.
- Contribute to department’s continuing medical education program.
- Write confidential patient case notes and reports, as well as information for patients, carers and other professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive and individualized care plan for each patients needs.
- Fully aware and actively implement the departmental policies and procedures, local and international standards or requirements related to the department.
- Participate in home care Safety Management & Risk Management Programs. Actively reports incidents in the system and whenever needed, participates in incident review.
- Participate in patient and family education to help patients and families to better understand and participate in their care and make well informed care decisions.
- Performs any other duties within the range of his/her professional knowledge and skills as directed by the direct manager.
Requirement:
Necessary Knowledge and Experience : 1-2 years of related experience.
Education and Certification Requirements : Bachelor of Science Speech & language.
