Job Description
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Patient Evaluation & Rehabilitation Plan:
- Assess the physical therapy needs of patients through detailed evaluation.
- Develop personalized rehabilitation plans that include clear objectives, treatments, outcomes, and discharge planning.
- Provide rehabilitation services according to the established care plan, ensuring that patient needs are addressed effectively.
Reassess and Adjust Treatment Plans:
- Regularly assess patients’ response to the rehabilitation services provided.
- Re-evaluate and adjust the care plan as necessary to optimize patient outcomes and address any changes in the patient’s condition.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Complete the required documentation in the daily treatment notes as part of the EMS (Electronic Medical System).
- Ensure that all patient records are accurately maintained, up-to-date, and comply with regulatory standards.
Community Engagement & Marketing:
- Participate in marketing and community education activities as requested.
- Engage in educational initiatives to raise awareness of rehabilitation services and their benefits to the local community.
Educational and Training Activities:
- Plan and conduct in-service educational activities to meet identified learning needs and performance improvement goals.
- Participate in staff education and provide consultations for facility staff regarding physical therapy techniques and best practices.
Patient Screening and Care Delivery:
- Conduct thorough and professional assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs.
- Implement evidence-based treatment interventions to improve patients’ physical mobility, strength, and overall rehabilitation progress.
Additional Duties:
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor that are related to the role of a physical therapist.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensing: Valid license to practice as a physical therapist in Saudi Arabia (SCFHS).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a rehabilitation or hospital environment.
- Skills:
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to design and implement effective rehabilitation plans.
- Proficiency in documenting and maintaining patient records.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate patients and staff effectively.
- Knowledge of modern physical therapy techniques and best practices.
