Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ICU Specialist to join our multidisciplinary critical care team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex critical cases, including trauma, multi-organ failure, and patients requiring coordinated care across multiple specialties. The Specialist will deliver advanced clinical care to critically ill adults, collaborate with other departments on complex treatment plans, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of ICU services and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care to critically ill adult patients.
- Lead daily ICU rounds and coordinate management plans with the multidisciplinary team.
- Assess and act on diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory findings.
- Manage ventilated patients using advanced airway and hemodynamic monitoring techniques.
- Respond to emergencies, including resuscitation and rapid response activations.
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation.
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and ICU audits.
- Supervise and support junior medical staff, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients’ families regarding treatment updates.
- Participate in on-call and rotational duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Specialist qualification in Critical Care, Intensive Care Medicine, Anesthesiology, or a related field.
- Valid professional license or eligibility for licensing in the UAE (DHA / DOH / MOH).
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialty experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Demonstrated experience managing ventilated patients and complex critical cases.
