The Senior Registered Nurse (Medical-Surgical) provides high-quality, patient-centered care for a diverse patient population. You will lead the nursing team in the assessment, planning, and implementation of complex care plans for pre- and post-surgical patients, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to international healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
  • Patient Assessment: Perform comprehensive physical and psychological assessments of patients, recognizing subtle clinical changes to anticipate potential complications.
  • Care Planning: Develop and coordinate multidisciplinary care plans, collaborating with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Direct Care: Administer prescribed medications, manage IV therapies, and perform advanced nursing procedures (e.g., catheterization, complex wound dressings).
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, real-time electronic medical records in compliance with hospital and DHA protocols.
  • Patient Education: Provide discharge planning and education to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience specifically in a Medical-Surgical hospital setting.
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid DHA license or an active DHA Eligibility Letter.
  • Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS certifications are preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills within a multicultural environment.
