Job Description
Your Role: The Biomedical Engineer will oversee procurement of medical equipment and provide instructions to the appropriate stakeholders, as and when required. To be successful as a Biomedical Engineer you must be able to develop advanced healthcare technology and be able to advise others on how to use the technology effectively.
Your Responsibilities:
• Provide Instructions to Bidders, Project Agreement Development and Bid Form
• Identify equipment requirement for the proposed facility mix
• Provide technical specifications document for all major medical equipment
• Provide support and advice, including attendance at internal and client’s meetings
• Develop and finalize Equipment BoQ for all medical, non-medical and IT items and
• Develop and finalize Reference Generic Equipment Specifications for major equipment
• Apply room codes to Schedule of Accommodation and create FF&E database
• Develop and finalize Equipment Responsibility Matrix (ERM) for Equipment & IT
• Create room by room FF&E schedules and costed FF&E Bill of Quantities (BoQ)
• Create Reference Generic Equipment Specifications for all ERM group items
• Develop/Cross-check room by room FF&E schedules and Reference Generic Equipment specifications against client requirement/guidance and adjust to ensure compliance
• Apply Equipment Responsibility Matrix ERM categories to equipment items
• Issue initial FF& Schedule, FF&E Schedule of Locations (Sol), room by room FF&E schedules and Reference Generic Equipment Specifications to Client for review
• Update FF&E content and Reference Generic Equipment Specifications following Client review
• Issue final FF&E Schedules and FF&E Sol and Reference Generic Equipment Specifications
• Develop, evaluate and finalize contractual schedule covering FF&E requirements
Education & Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Hospital and clinics medical equipment and infrastructure Procurements, designing and Executions with Respect to HTM/DHA/MOH/HADD/JCI Standards
• Medical Equipment procurement, Maintenance and service experience, Planned Preventive Maintenance procedure knowledge added advantage
• Arabic speaking preferred
• Willing to travel overseas depending upon project requirements and deliverables
• Dedicated, Hardworking and with high level of integrity
• Knowledge of hardware, operating systems, application programming, Windows, MS Office. Competencies:
