Position Summary
Responsible for performing all medical services and procedures with the appropriate physicians, technicians and nurses in the department to achieve high quality results.
Participate in training of junior staff, CME and seminars.
Work and liaise with nurses and medical staff to maintain the highest professional standards.
Assist the head of the department in the coordination of department activities.
Provide accurate, timely treatment of diseases in compliance and harmony with the quality management system.
Summary of Main Duties
To provide primary vision care by administering eye examinations and to determine whether vision correction is needed with the prescription of eyeglasses or contact lenses
To provide vision therapy and low-vision rehabilitation
To dispense spectacle prescriptions, fit soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses
To assist in taking patient history, assess vision, refract, and perform diagnostic and screening tests
To check glasses and contact lenses for accuracy and comfort.
To assist in Refractive Surgery Procedures (LASIK, PRK, Intraocorneal ring segments).

Position Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor in Science of Optometry & Optics
Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar position
Licenses/Registration
MOH or DHA Registered Optician
BLS certification
