MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To lead and manage nursing and allied health services across three regions and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the continuous improvement and maintenance of quality care in accordance with regulatory standards
To ensure clinical operational efficiency and effectiveness as a strategic imperative.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- To provide strong leadership to the team
- To actively drive, ensure compliance to and support a culture of quality care
- To develop, implement and monitor the nursing strategic plan to ensure that clinical and operational goals are met
- To actively manage and facilitate patient safety and other risk processes and practices
- Effective workforce planning and resource management to ensure a balance is achieved between clinical quality care and operational efficiency
- Build and maintain sustainable and productive relationships to ensure a high level of patient experience/satisfaction and integrated patient care
- To support and contribute to a learning environment that builds employee competence by actively supervising, mentoring and coaching learners and nursing employees
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Essential: Licensed or eligible for licensing as a registered nurse with the relevant Healthcare Authority in the UAE
Desired: Master’s Degree in Nursing or other related field e.g. Healthcare Management
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years’ nursing management experience as a Unit Manager, or Deputy Nursing Director in an IVF Centre
Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in IVF
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Analysing and interpreting data related to quality improvement in clinical care and the overall functioning of the facility
- Application of financial controls within the clinical function of the hospital, including compiling and monitoring a budget and managing expenses
- Application of relevant HR policies and procedures
- Demonstrate the ability to assist with nursing and allied health policy development
- Knowledge and understanding of medical-legal processes
- Knowledge of Disaster Management processes
- Nursing and Allied Health functional knowledge
- Application of project management principles
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Quality improvement processes and the ability to maintain and improve quality standards and ensure that accreditation standards are met
- Healthcare regulatory framework and related requirements
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
- Skilled in the application of policies, procedures, requirements and regulations related to the management and administration of the nursing and allied health function in hospitals
