Job Responsibilities
- To provide services to patients for whom he/she is responsible to the highest attainable standard of care within the resources of Dallah Hospital by performing nuclear medicine procedures under supervision of Nuclear Medicine Specialist or Consultant.
- To carry out nuclear medicine studies as decided by the Nuclear Medicine Specialist/Consultant.
- Responsible for the Nuclear Medicine procedures.
- Responsible for the quality control of Gamma Camera and Radiopharmaceuticals.
- Demonstrates leadership in the daily workflow of the department.
- Authorized to administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients I.V., orally, and subcutaneous/intradermal.
- Responsible for the specific assigned tasks within the department as need arises.
- Implements and coordinates policies and procedures to achieve the hospital’s goals and objectives in pursuit of standards of care and quality/performance improvement.
- Participate in patient and family education to help patients and families better understand and participate in their care and make well-informed care decisions.
- Performs any other duties within the range of his/her professional knowledge and skills as directed by the Nuclear Medicine Physician and/or Head of Radiology.
- Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients, patient attendants, and family members.
- For disposal of radioactive materials and storage of radiopharmaceuticals, always follow radiation safety procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring stock availability in the section for daily utilization.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Minimum of one year post-graduate practice in Nuclear Medicine in an acute care facility.
- Practical experience in nuclear medicine modality.
Desirable:
- Two years of experience.
Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Nuclear Medicine.
