Job Purpose Overall responsibility for managing the Lab at the study site, all according to HPP requirements, including team management, sample processing, sample storage, and sample management, ensuring quality control, maintaining SOPs, ensuring sample and data integrity, managing logistics and shipment to required sites, and ensuring compliance with safety and ethics rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Lab infrastructure and instrumentation, sample processing and storage, and sample tracking documentation.
- In charge of all sample processing procedures of the Lab.
- In charge of quality assurance with regard to materials, samples and Lab instrumentation; maintaining a periodic quality control plan for the lab instrumentation and workflows, including documentation and reporting.
- Maintaining the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols, technical notes, and guidelines defined by HPP.
- Responsible for procurement of required devices/consumables and interaction with relevant suppliers.
- Responsible for investigating, reporting, and documenting deviations in daily practical operations.
- Monitor and track the logistics and handling of samples.
- In charge of sample shipment to relevant destinations according to the relevant SOP.
- Responsible for managing, training, and guiding the Lab staff.
- Responsible for compliance of the Lab and the team with the institution’s rules for safety, ethics and IRB’s SOPs.
- Work in close cooperation with the study clinic team and HPP team.
- Responsible for working in accordance with the HPP SOPs, guidance, and instructions.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with institutional safety and ethics rules.
- Follow all IHL-validated HPP SOPs, protocols, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain accurate reporting, deviation documentation, and operational transparency.
- Provide audit and reporting to IHL management and to regulators.

Technical Competencies
- Expertise in processing blood samples (serum, whole blood, PBMC) and other samples used for OMICS analysis.
- Familiarity with collecting, storing, retrieving, and analyzing human samples in research.
- Knowledge and practical experience in isolation of PBMC and serum from blood.
- Familiar with working in GCP or GLP environments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in biomedical science; MSc or PhD preferred.
- Previous experience in managing a lab is an advantage.
Working Conditions

- May involve handling human samples and working with lab instrumentation.
- Collaboration with clinic and HPP teams as part of daily workflow.
