Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Certified IP Medical Coder role based in the United Arab Emirates. The Certified IP Medical Coder will review inpatient medical records to assign accurate and compliant diagnosis and procedure codes using established coding guidelines and classification systems. The role involves validating documentation, ensuring proper use of medical terminology, and collaborating with clinical and billing teams to resolve coding-related queries and discrepancies. The professional will contribute to timely claims submission, support revenue cycle optimization, and assist in maintaining coding quality through regular audits and updates. The position also requires staying current with coding regulations, payer requirements, and industry standards.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Medical Coding experience, including inpatient (IP) coding and familiarity with relevant coding systems.
  • Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management principles to interpret and code clinical documentation accurately.
  • Candidates should possess recognized credentials such as RHIT or equivalent certifications in Health Information Management or Medical Coding.
  • Candidates should possess attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work with clinical and billing teams to resolve documentation and coding issues.
  • Relevant academic background in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with hospital information systems, coding software, and insurance billing processes is beneficial.
  • Ability to adhere to regulatory standards, payer guidelines, and confidentiality requirements (e.g., data protection and privacy laws).
