🚨 We’re Hiring | Infection Control Officer – Hospital Experience Required
Dubai Medical University Hospital (DMUH) is seeking an experienced Infection Control Officer to join our growing hospital team in Dubai.
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated professional with hands-on infection prevention and control experience within a hospital environment to support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of infection prevention and control standards across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor the hospital’s Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program.
Conduct regular infection control surveillance, audits, and inspections across clinical and non-clinical departments.
Monitor compliance with infection prevention policies, procedures, and international healthcare standards.
Support the investigation and management of healthcare-associated infections and infection control incidents.
Provide infection control education and training to healthcare professionals and hospital staff.
Monitor hand hygiene compliance and other infection prevention practices.
Participate in outbreak investigation, risk assessment, and implementation of appropriate control measures.
Maintain accurate infection control records, reports, and surveillance data.
Work closely with clinical departments, Nursing, Quality, Occupational Health, and other relevant hospital teams.
Support hospital accreditation and regulatory requirements related to Infection Prevention and Control.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, or a related healthcare field.
Relevant Infection Prevention and Control certification/training is preferred.
Hospital experience in Infection Prevention and Control is required.
Strong knowledge of healthcare-associated infections, infection surveillance, hand hygiene, sterilization, isolation precautions, and standard precautions.
Experience in conducting infection control audits, training, and compliance monitoring.
Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
UAE healthcare/hospital experience is highly preferred.
