Overview

You will deliver safe, hygienic and effective Hijama (wet cupping) treatments in line with approved clinical procedures and your licensed scope of practice, ensuring a respectful, comfortable experience from consultation through aftercare.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Hijama/wet cupping treatments according to approved clinical procedures and your licensed scope of practice
• Assess clients and obtain relevant medical history before treatment
• Explain the procedure, expected benefits, contraindications, risks and aftercare instructions
• Follow strict infection-control, sterilisation, hygiene and clinical safety protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
• Monitor clients during and after treatment and respond appropriately to adverse reactions
• Maintain treatment equipment and ensure safe disposal of sharps and biomedical waste
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals when referral or medical assessment is required
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with UAE/Dubai healthcare regulations
• Provide professional patient education on post-Hijama care

Requirements

• Valid DHA eligibility/registration or DHA professional license, as applicable
• Diploma or certification in Hijama/cupping therapy from a recognised institution
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on Hijama experience
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, infection prevention and clinical safety
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, caring manner
• Arabic and English language skills mandatory
• Current BLS/first aid certification (preferred)
