Job Title – Head of Clinical Validation

Location: Dubai, UAE.

Summary:

The Head of Clinical Validation leads the Hub and Spoke Model for clinical validation

This executive role is responsible for building and managing a distributed network of clinical validators across multiple specialties, geographies, and healthcare settings, ensuring continuous quality improvement and evidence-based care delivery.

Core Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the clinical validation strategy aligned with organizational goals
  • Establish the Hub and Spoke operational model for scalable validation
  • Build relationships with medical associations, academic institutions, and regulatory bodies
  • Report to executive leadership on clinical quality metrics and risk indicators
  • Develop the 3-year clinical validation roadmap
  • Manage the clinical validation budget and resource allocation

2. Clinical Governance

  • Chair the Clinical Validation Committee with representatives from all spokes
  • Establish clinical validation standards, SOPs, and quality benchmarks
  • Oversee harm level classification for all clinical content
  • Ensure compliance with FHIR R4, ICD-10, SNOMED CT, LOINC standards
  • Manage clinical risk register and escalation protocols
  • Lead root cause analysis for clinical validation failures
  • Ensure HIPAA, GDPR, and UAE healthcare regulatory compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for AI Enabled Healthcare Applications

3. Hub Operations

  • Build and lead the central clinical validation team
  • Develop validation workflows for journeys, states, triggers, and UI flows
  • Co-develop clinical validation workflows and tooling
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards for validation throughput and quality
  • Create and maintain the clinical evidence library with 100,000+ citations (international, regional and UAE)
  • Manage relationships with clinical knowledge partners

4. Spoke Network Management

  • Recruit, train, and certify clinical validators across specialties
  • Establish spoke validator credentialing and re-certification programs
  • Create specialty-specific validation protocols
  • Manage spoke performance and quality metrics
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across the spoke network
  • Coordinate multi-specialty reviews for complex journeys

5. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Implement clinical validation quality metrics and reporting
  • Conduct regular audits of validated content
  • Lead post-market surveillance for clinical content
  • Manage adverse event investigation and content remediation
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on clinical outcomes data
  • Benchmark against industry best practices and academic standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MD, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree, Master’s degree in AI, Healthcare Quality, Clinical Informatics, or Health Administration
  • Board certification in a clinical specialty
  • 7+ years of clinical practice experience, 3+ years in clinical quality, validation, or governance roles, 5+ years in leadership positions managing clinical teams
  • Experience with digital health platforms or clinical decision support systems
