The General Practitioner – Pediatrics provides comprehensive clinical care to pediatric patients. This role involves diagnosing and treating childhood illnesses, managing patients in the pediatric ward, handling pediatric emergencies, and working closely with specialists to ensure optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic illnesses in infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Manage patients admitted to the pediatric ward, including conducting daily rounds and updating treatment plans.
  • Provide immediate medical care during pediatric emergencies and stabilize patients.
  • Monitor children’s growth and development, and administer immunizations according to standard schedules.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive electronic medical records for all patients.
  • Collaborate with pediatric specialists, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals.
Requirements

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.Minimum of 2 years of continuous clinical experience strictly inside a pediatric ward.Mandatory Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license or a valid DHA Eligibility Letter as a General Practitioner.Strong knowledge of pediatric pharmacology, life support (PALS certification preferred), and emergency procedures.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to comfort young patients and communicate clearly with families.
