Job Description

We are seeking a General Insurance Specialist with strong experience across commercial lines and a proven background in insurance brokerage.

The role requires a professional who can structure, place, and grow corporate insurance portfolios, while actively contributing to business development and client retention.

This is a hybrid technical + sales role, requiring both underwriting understanding and commercial acumen.Key Responsibilities1. Corporate Insurance Placement & Advisory

  • Manage end-to-end placement of commercial insurance policies, including:
  • Property, Liabilities, Engineering, Marine / Miscellaneous lines
  • Review client risk profiles and design appropriate insurance structures.
  • Conduct policy comparisons, gap analysis, and coverage optimization.

2. Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop new corporate clients across SME and mid-market segments.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations with insurers.
  • Drive revenue growth through cross-selling and upselling strategies.

3. Insurer & Market Management

  • Liaise with UAE insurance companies and underwriters to negotiate terms.
  • Prepare submission slips, RFQs, and renewal strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with insurers and service providers.

4. Client Relationship Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on all general insurance matters.
  • Ensure high retention through proactive renewal management.
  • Support clients on endorsements, claims coordination, and servicing.

5. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all placements comply with CBUAE regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and audit trails.
  • Follow data protection and confidentiality standards (PDPL compliance).

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience:Minimum 3–5 years in general insurance, with brokerage experience mandatory
  • Technical Expertise:Strong knowledge across commercial lines underwriting and placement
  • Sales Capability:Proven ability to generate and close business
  • Market Knowledge:Good understanding of the UAE insurance market and insurer appetite
  • Skills:Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Client-facing confidence and presentation ability
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • UAE market experience is highly preferred
  • Professional certifications (CII or equivalent) are a plus
