Accountable for continuous clinical education and quality patient outcomes
• embedded in ASH Nursing Professional Practice Model (PPM) and care delivery system.
• Responsible for promoting and complying with ethical principles based on the
• American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, KSA law, and regulations
• for nursing and ethical principles in the hospital.
• Practice by abiding by AH, JCI, and CBAHI, including but not limited to
• International Patient Safety goals and national and international standards.
• Promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process and
• providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
• Provides quality patient care and carries out orders, complying with the policy
• and procedures of the hospital.
• Accountable for nursing actions, which include, but are not limited to: identifying
• patterns of human responses to actual or potential health problems amenable to
• a nursing regimen; executing a nursing regimen through selection, performance,
• management, and evaluation of nursing action; assessing health status to
• provide nursing care, health counseling, and teaching; administering
• medications, treatments, and executing regimens prescribed by physicians;
• teaching, administering, supervising, delegating, and evaluating nursing practice.
â–ª Collaborates with the patient and other healthcare team members to develop and
update a care plan based on the patient’s physical, psychological changes, and age
related needs.
â–ª Provides total direct nursing care, which consists of the plan of care and needs of the
patients concerning the patient’s privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture.
▪ Assess, monitor, and document patients’ physical and psychological status.
â–ª Carry out the physician’s orders, review nursing and medical orders for accuracy, and
ensure they were carried out on time.
â–ª Prepare, administer, and document all medications as prescribed by the physician.
â–ª Maintain accountability for narcotic and controlled drugs.
â–ª Responds appropriately during clinical emergencies, begins emergency resuscitative
efforts, and supports code responses.
â–ª Sets up equipment and assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
â–ª Provide accurate and timely handovers during shift changes.
â–ª Educates patients and their families by emphasizing the importance of following
prescribed treatment plans and supports families in managing the patient’s
psychological needs.
▪ Facilitate client’s discharge process ensuring availability of discharge medication,
appointment, and special requirements.
â–ª Ensure a safe, clean, and organized setting for patients, families, visitors, and staff.
â–ª Participates in the presentation of patient care conferences.
â–ª Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based audits.
â–ª Develop and sustain a strong working relationship with fellow healthcare team members.
â–ª Maintains infection control and safety awareness functions as needed and takes
corrective action when necessary.
â–ª Participate in disaster drills and emergency codes.
â–ª Identify, report, and follow up on patient safety incidents.
â–ª Uses verbal and non-verbal communication that shows respect for the patient, family,
visitors, and staff.
â–ª Capable of initiating and maintaining life support measures (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) (if
trained).
â–ª Knowledgeable in the function of the crash cart and defibrillator.
â–ª Maintains attendance and observes working hours, starting times, lunch periods, breaks,
prayer times, etc.
â–ª Participate and lead in nursing councils.
â–ª Meets the additional requirements for specialized units as specified at the time of hire.
â–ª Provide personalized coordinated care, support and treatment for patients and families.
â–ª Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.
â–ª Involve patients, families and caregivers by providing them with education
â–ª and resources for offering optimal support to promote recovery.
Job requirements
BS in Nursing
Registration in country of origin
Preferably 1-2 years in clinical nursing
â–ª Life Support Training Courses
â–ª Proper, effective and compassionate communication.
â–ª Ability to work independently within the hospital.
â–ª Excellent verbal and written communication skills
â–ª Enthusiastic, enduring, and willing to work for extra hours
â–ª Multi-tasking, good listening skills, and verbal communication.
â–ª Computer skills preferred.
â–ª Demonstrate knowledge and completed competencies related to their department.
