Role Description This full-time Biomedical Engineer role is based in El Maadi in a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site responsibilities with some work-from-home flexibility. The Biomedical Engineer will perform installation, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of medical equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation in hospitals and clinics. Daily tasks include conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, documenting service activities, and coordinating with clinical staff to minimize equipment downtime. The role involves supporting equipment lifecycle management, assisting in technical evaluations, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards. The Biomedical Engineer will also collaborate with manufacturers and internal teams to implement upgrades, train users, and contribute to continuous improvement of service quality.

Qualifications

  • Supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of medical equipment at project sites.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, hospital representatives, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review equipment specifications, technical submittals, shop drawings, and installation requirements.
  • Ensure that medical equipment installation complies with approved specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and project requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor installation progress to ensure quality and timely completion.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding equipment delivery, installation, commissioning, and technical issues.
  • Follow up on site readiness, including utilities, room layouts, infrastructure, and other requirements prior to equipment installation.
  • Perform testing and commissioning of medical equipment and ensure proper functionality before handover.
  • Prepare and maintain site reports, installation records, testing and commissioning reports, and handover documentation.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during installation and coordinate corrective actions with the concerned parties.
  • Attend site meetings and provide technical updates regarding project progress, pending activities, and site issues.
  • Ensure proper documentation and handover of equipment to the end user.
  • Provide basic operational guidance and technical support to hospital staff when required.
  • Follow project schedules and coordinate activities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and project quality standards while working on site.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
