Job Description
As a key member of our Reem Hospital team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of exercise therapy services to our patients managing musculoskeletal pain. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a passion for rehabilitation and patient care, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in exercise therapy or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of exercise therapy programs designed to address musculoskeletal pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall physical function. This may include exercises for strength, flexibility, posture correction, and functional movement.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and chiropractors, to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes.
- Stay current with the latest developments in exercise therapy techniques, musculoskeletal pain management, and rehabilitation practices, integrating new evidence-based knowledge into care delivery.
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, self-care strategies, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term wellness and pain management.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a therapy assistant or in a similar role, with a focus on musculoskeletal rehabilitation & exercise therapy.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare facilities in the UAE.
- Proven experience working with patients who have musculoskeletal conditions or injuries, providing rehabilitation support under the guidance of a licensed therapist.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of exercise therapy techniques for musculoskeletal rehabilitation, including functional movement, strength training, flexibility exercises, and posture correction.
- Experience in utilizing various therapeutic modalities, such as resistance training, aerobic exercises, and balance training, to support pain management and physical recovery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, motivate them, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to assess patient needs and assist in the development of tailored exercise plans provided by the physiotherapist.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting health and wellness through exercise.
- CPR certification.
- Relevant certification or qualification in exercise therapy or physical rehabilitation is preferred.
Additional Skills (Preferred but not Required):
- Knowledge of ergonomic principles and their application in preventing musculoskeletal pain and injuries.
- Experience with group exercise therapy classes or patient education workshops.
