Staff Nurse – Medical Surgical Ward (Masfoot)

Job Description We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Ward team. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, uphold the highest standards of clinical practice, and deliver both physical and emotional support to patients and their families throughout their recovery journey.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of patients’ conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and patient safety
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient status, escalating concerns when necessary
• Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, hygiene, and mobility
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, procedures, and surgeries, and provide post-procedure care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean working environment
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Respond effectively to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions when required
• Support patients emotionally and psychologically throughout their hospital stay
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Valid UAE License or eligibility.
• Current BLS, ACLS & PALS certification.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical Ward.
