Specialist – Quality Improvement

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement organization-wide quality improvement programs and initiatives across Dubai Health facilities to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with hospital administration, clinical leaders, and quality improvement teams to identify opportunities for performance enhancement and develop strategies to standardize best practices across Dubai Health facilities.
  • Collect and analyze quality-related data from multiple facilities, identify trends, and provide expert recommendations to senior management to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead the design and implementation of quality improvement projects, including establishing measurable goals, data collection methods, and performance metrics aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate regular quality improvement meetings and workshops, serving as a subject matter expert and mentor for facility staff involved in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with quality improvement protocols and regulatory requirements across the facilities, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to individual facilities in the development and execution of quality improvement plans, policies, and procedures, and serve as a liaison for cross-facility collaboration.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for facility staff on quality improvement principles, performance measurement, and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and industry experts to stay current with emerging quality improvement trends and integrate best practices into the organization’s framework.
  • Regularly review and update quality improvement policies and procedures to ensure alignment with evolving industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare annual quality reports in coordination with other stakeholders and timely submission to the leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed by the direct line manager to ensure smooth operations of the department.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in healthcare, Health Information Management, Science, Communications, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Master’s in healthcare studies or related field.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5 years’ experience in the healthcare quality field in activities relevant to the roles.
  • 2 progressive experiences in quality or facilitating interdisciplinary improvement teams in a healthcare setting, or other relevant experience.
