The Specialist in Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Fetal Medicine will provide high‑quality, evidence‑based clinical care across obstetrics, gynaecology, and fetal medicine services. The role involves managing routine and high‑risk pregnancies, delivering specialized fetal assessment and monitoring, and contributing to multidisciplinary care in line with the hospital’s standards for women’s and maternal‑fetal health.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist‑level care in obstetrics and gynaecology, including antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and gynecological services
- Deliver fetal medicine services, including detailed fetal ultrasound assessments, prenatal screening, and monitoring of high‑risk pregnancies
- Manage obstetric complications and fetal conditions in collaboration with neonatology, radiology, genetics, and other specialties
- Perform gynecological procedures and manage elective and minor surgeries within the approved scope of practice
- Conduct outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, and emergency on‑call duties as required
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and DOH regulations
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, case discussions, and continuous medical education
- Uphold patient safety, ethical standards, and clinical governance frameworks at all times
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Recognized Specialist qualification (Arab Board, MRCOG, FCPS, or equivalent)
- Formal training and demonstrated experience in Fetal Medicine, including prenatal diagnosis and high‑risk pregnancy management
- Valid DOH (Abu Dhabi) license or eligibility to obtain one
- Minimum 3-5 years of post‑specialization experience, preferably within a tertiary or women’s hospital setting
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient‑centred approach
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary maternal‑fetal care team
