Role Description The Specialist Family Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive primary care services to individuals and families, managing acute and chronic health conditions across all age groups. Daily responsibilities include conducting outpatient consultations, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing individualized treatment plans. The physician will coordinate preventive care, vaccinations, and routine health screenings, while promoting patient education, lifestyle modification, and disease prevention. Additional duties involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in clinical meetings, maintaining accurate medical records, and adhering to clinical guidelines and regulatory standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Burjeel Medical City in Abu Dhabi.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical expertise in Family Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
- Experience in Urgent Care settings, including assessment and stabilization of patients with immediate or unexpected health needs.
- Background or interest in Community Health, with a focus on preventive medicine, population health, and patient education.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), plus completed specialty training in Family Medicine; board certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Valid license or eligibility to obtain licensure with relevant UAE health authorities (e.g., DOH/HAAD), and familiarity with local regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an inclusive, patient-centered approach and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Commitment to clinical quality, ethical practice, continuous professional development, and adherence to evidence-based guidelines.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and basic digital health tools; working knowledge of Arabic is beneficial but not mandatory.
