The Role

As a Veterinary Surgeon / Small Animal Veterinarian, you will manage a diverse and engaging caseload across general practice, internal medicine, and surgery. You will work alongside experienced clinicians and a supportive nursing team in a clinic that invests in both its patients and its people.

Your key responsibilities will include:

–   Performing soft tissue and routine surgical procedures to a high standard

–   Managing a varied caseload of small animal medical and surgical cases

–   Delivering clear, empathetic client communication, including diagnosis explanations, treatment plans, and post-operative care

–   Maintaining thorough, accurate medical records in line with clinic protocols

–   Upholding excellence in infection control, patient safety, and clinical governance

–   Contributing to a collaborative, respectful team environment

–   Participating in CPD and continuous clinical development

What we’re looking for

Essential:

–   Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), BVSc, BVetMed, or equivalent degree

–   Minimum 5 years of post-graduate clinical experience in small animal practice

–   Proven surgical competency routine procedures and soft tissue surgery

–   Strong diagnostic reasoning and sound clinical judgment

–   Fluent English communication skills written and verbal

–   Valid MOCCAE license or demonstrable eligibility to obtain one

–   Calm, professional, and client-focused approach under pressure

Highly regarded:

–   Experience in emergency and critical care

–   Exposure to advanced imaging (digital X-ray, ultrasound)

–   Previous work in a high-volume or multi-vet practice

–   Interest in internal medicine or a surgical subspecialty
