Description

Provide advanced, high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging to support precise clinical diagnosis at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital Dubai. As a senior member of the team, the candidate will perform complex examinations, maintain strict safety standards, and mentor junior technical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound examinations (including abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular, and musculoskeletal scans) following established hospital and international clinical protocols.
• Evaluate scanned images for quality, clarity, and diagnostic adequacy before providing preliminary findings to the reading physicians.
• Prepare clear technical summaries and preliminary reports of findings to optimize diagnostic workflows and support medical decision-making.
• Oversee and maintain the performance of sophisticated ultrasound equipment, ensuring appropriate troubleshooting, reporting of technical malfunctions, and inventory oversight.
• Prioritize patient care, comfort, safety, and strict medical confidentiality throughout all clinical ultrasound procedures.
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, specialized consultants, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to align workflows with quality patient care initiatives.
• Guide and mentor junior sonographers or clinical assistants to uphold standard diagnostic practices.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Medical Imaging, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Ultrasonography from an accredited university.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification clinical experience as a Sonographer, with a proven track record in a tertiary care hospital setting.
• Licensure: A valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Sonographer License or an active DHA Eligibility Letter is strictly mandatory.
• Skills: Expert knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics; high proficiency with modern high-end ultrasound machinery; and excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
