Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and DHA-licensed Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team in a leading integrated diabetes center. This role is ideal for a dynamic healthcare professional interested not only in patient care, but also in setting up physiotherapy services from the ground up. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for designing and launching new programs and services, collaborating across departments, and contributing to holistic diabetes management strategies that enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and develop the Physiotherapy Department, including workflow, documentation standards, clinical protocols, and service offerings.
- Design and implement custom healthcare and targeting diabetic complications such as neuropathy, joint issues, postural imbalances, and mobility restrictions.
- Offer and introduce innovative physiotherapy services to complement chronic disease management, especially for patients with Type 2 diabetes, obesity, or cardiovascular conditions.
- Conduct in-depth physical assessments and deliver individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients on therapeutic exercises, pain management techniques, posture correction, and physical activity guidelines tailored to their diabetic condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, podiatrists, and behavioral health professionals in a multidisciplinary care model.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain detailed patient records in accordance with DHA regulations and clinic standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
- Train support staff or junior team members if required.
- Stay updated on best practices in physiotherapy and chronic disease rehabilitation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid DHA license or eligibility to practice in Dubai.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or program development capacity preferred.
- Strong background in musculoskeletal, neurological, or metabolic rehabilitation.
- Experience working in a diabetes or chronic disease clinic is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to work independently and set up clinical services.
- Excellent communication, planning, and patient education skills
