Job Summary:
The role is responsible for providing effective administrative, operational, and financial oversight to support the hospital’s strategic and operational objectives. This position ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, sound financial management, risk mitigation, and a safe working environment, while supporting leadership in decision-making, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Operational Management
- Demonstrate sound judgment and self-sufficiency in problem-solving while serving as a key administrative and operational resource for the hospital.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and sensitive administrative matters.
- Promote a fair, unbiased, and apolitical administrative environment within the department.
- Ensure timely submission of all required reports and deliverables.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Hospital General Manager, Hospital Administrator, and Head of Finance.
Financial Management & Oversight
- Intervene effectively in matters involving accounting and financial decision-making.
- Ensure all aspects of financial accounting are managed smoothly, accurately, and without interruption.
- Coordinate with the insurance department to minimize financial losses due to non-recoverable cases.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Provide support during internal and external audit activities.
- Ensure adequate budget allocation and resources for facilities management, OSH, and infection control initiatives.
Strategic Planning & Governance
- Demonstrate the ability to view the broader strategic and operational landscape and align processes accordingly.
- Monitor and direct operational and financial processes to support strategic plans and objectives.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with hospital goals.
Education and Qualifications:
- Must be a Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- Five years or more of experience in finance and accounting
- Excellent command of oral and written English
- Well-versed in Word, Excel, and financial software
