Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.

The Senior Cerner Clinical Application Analyst plays a pivotal role in the implementation, support, and optimization of Cerner electronic health record (EHR) systems. This position involves working closely with clinical and IT teams to ensure that Cerner applications meet organizational needs and enhance patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • System Implementation & Configuration:
    • Configure and implement Cerner EHR applications tailored to clinical workflows.
    • Build, test, and deploy primarily Cerner modules (Pharmacy & Supplychain) and enhancements.
    • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure accuracy and performance.
  • Support & Troubleshooting:
    • Provide advanced support to end-users, resolving complex issues.
    • Analyze and troubleshoot system problems, ensuring timely resolution.
    • Maintain system documentation and update configuration records.
  • Collaboration & Optimization:
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers and IT teams to optimize system functionality.
    • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and system enhancements.
    • Serve as a technical resource for Cerner-related projects and upgrades.
  • Training & Documentation:
    • Develop and deliver training sessions for clinical staff.
    • Create user guides and support materials for Cerner applications.

Skills:

  • Cerner Millennium EHR configuration and support    
  • Preferred Build and configuration experience – CPOE, Pharm net , supply chain
  • UAE regulatory knowledge around pharmacy mandatory
  • Additional Integration and CCL knowledge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ Proven experience with Cerner Millennium (Powerchart Maternity, Fetal Link, Pharmnet , supply chain) and CCL development or other Cerner EHR systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Cerner certification preferred.
