School Nurse Wellness Coordinator

Job Description

The School Nurse Wellness Co-ordinator plays a key role in supporting the overall wellbeing, safety and operational quality of the school environment. This role combines student/staff wellness oversight, coordination of health-related initiatives, compliance monitoring and collaboration with academic and administrative teams, and supporting the Sister in charge if the schools . The idea candidate brings school experience, strong organizational skills, clinical competence, and proactive attitude toward learning school systems and processes.

Key Accountabilities

Staff/Student Wellness Support

  • Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive school environment for students and staff
  • Assist in implementing wellness programs, health education activities, and preventive initiatives
  • Support staff/students with basic health needs within the scope of competence and school policy
  • Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and parents to address students’ well-being concerns

School Supervisor and Coordinator

  • Supporting Sister School nurse in JCI compliance with the KPI such as auditing
  • Assist in organizing school events, awareness campaigns and training sessions
  • Support administrative tasks as needed to enhance school operations
  • Providing temporary cover considering any absences
  • Providing competency and education-based activities to school nurses
  • Acting as a preceptee for new joiners

Education & Qualification

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent qualification is required
  • DHA Registered Nurse

Experience

  • With experience in related field or similar setup
  • Has worked in a large school environment +1000 students within the last 5 years

Training, Knowledge & Skills

  • Awareness and understanding of King’s College Hospital (KCH) policies and initiatives.
  • Understanding about school clinic set up
  • With good knowledge and awareness of Excel
  • Highly self-motivated with strong internal work standards; sets realistic goals for self and supports others in achieving team objectives
  • Maintains professional and personal credibility across all staff groups.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Has BLS and PALS
