Position Overview:
The Sales Executive – Modern Trade at NCH plays a key role in accelerating the company’s footprint within the modern trade channel. This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key retail accounts, ensuring strong in-store execution, driving product visibility, and unlocking new growth opportunities through effective account penetration and numeric expansion.
The ideal candidate brings a strong commercial acumen, a customer-first mindset, and hands-on experience in FMCG retail environments. Working cross-functionally with logistics, finance, and merchandising teams, the Sales Executive ensures seamless execution of trade plans, product availability, and relationship management at the store level. A strong focus on performance, operational discipline, and market responsiveness will be essential for success in this fast-paced and impact-driven role.
Responsibilities:
Account Management & Business Development
- Manage assigned modern trade key accounts, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Initiate new product listings and follow through activation across relevant outlets.
- Identify and open new accounts within the assigned territory to grow numeric coverage.
In-Store Execution & Trade Marketing
- Implement and monitor trade promotions to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Monitor store-level compliance with activations, campaigns, and promotional plans.
- Ensure planogram compliance, optimal product visibility, and shelf share.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with store managers, buyers, and merchandising teams.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints effectively to maintain satisfaction and trust.
Operational Coordination
- Monitor stock availability, returns, and out-of-stock (OOS) situations; coordinate replenishments accordingly.
- Work closely with logistics to ensure timely deliveries and optimal inventory levels.
- Liaise with the finance team to facilitate smooth collections and resolve outstanding payments.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track competitor activities including pricing, new launches, promotions, and merchandising efforts.
- Submit timely reports on sales performance, market feedback, and trade dynamics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2 – 4 years of sales experience in FMCG, preferably in modern trade.
- Proven ability to manage accounts, execute in-store activations, and drive sales growth.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid UAE driving licence and willingness to travel locally.
