Job Description

Role Purpose:

The ENT Registrar will provide comprehensive, evidence-based patient care in the field of ENT, ensuring compliance with all professional and ethical standards set by Al Salama Hospital and regulatory authorities. This role requires excellent clinical skills, a commitment to continuous professional development, and a collaborative approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care for ENT patients, ensuring efficient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for patients.
  • Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with patient care.

Professional Development

  • Participate in continuous medical education to maintain high standards of practice.
  • Facilitate and support clinical clerkship training for medical students and junior colleagues.

Clinical Governance

  • Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.

Patient Engagement

  • Engage with patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their understanding of treatment plans.
  • Participate in patient satisfaction surveys to continuously improve patient care.

Ethical and Professional Standards

  • Execute clinical services in an ethical, professional, and responsible manner.
  • Uphold integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the role.

Essential Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of post-qualification experience at a Specialist level.
  • Certification in ENT from a recognized institution (e.g., Saudi Commission for Health Specialties).
  • Valid life support certification (e.g., BLS, PALS, NRP).

Desired Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience at a Specialist level from a Tier 1 country (as specified by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties).

Education and Registration:

  • A basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification (fellowship/diploma) recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
  • Registration with a relevant healthcare authority (e.g., Saudi Board, MS, DM).
