Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.
A Pediatric Inpatient Nurse is a registered nurse specialized in providing comprehensive, compassionate care to infants, children, and adolescents admitted to the hospital. Working within pediatric wards or units, they are responsible for continuous monitoring, treatment administration, and supporting recovery for patients with acute or complex medical conditions. Pediatric Inpatient Nurses collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams while ensuring a family-centered approach, promoting both the child’s well-being and caregiver involvement throughout the hospitalization journey.
Responsibilities
- Continuous monitoring of admitted patients (not just short visits)
- Managing acute and complex conditions
- Medication administration and IV therapies
- Shift-based care with handovers
- Responding to emergencies and deterioration
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for ongoing hospitalization care
- Preparing patients for discharge after admission
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Science in Nursing Degree
- Valid DOH/DHA/MOH license
