Overview

Reporting to the Assistant Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse II is responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of individualized nursing care to patients and their family members according to current best-evidence based standards. The role requires using best judgment at all times and operating in alignment with DOH/DHA and organizational policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.

Responsibilities

Deliver Patient-Centered Care

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care based on patient needs, cultural factors, and clinical guidelines.

Clinical Monitoring and Intervention

Perform advanced nursing assessments, monitor patient conditions, and provide appropriate nursing interventions in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Medication Administration

Safely manage and administer medications as per policies and unit requirements, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices.

Patient and Family Education

Educate patients and families from admission to discharge, promoting safety, prevention, and health awareness.

Compliance and Documentation

Follow regulatory and organizational policies, ensuring accurate and timely clinical documentation and communication.

Quality and Safety

Support and participate in patient safety initiatives, quality improvement projects, audits, and adherence to clinical standards.

Resource and Equipment Management

Utilize clinical equipment and supplies efficiently while ensuring proper checks and stock maintenance.

Collaboration and Communication

Maintain effective communication with physicians, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Training and Supervision

Provide guidance, on-the-job training, and support to junior staff while pursuing continuous professional development.

Regulatory and OSH Compliance

Abide by occupational health and safety standards, participate in risk assessments, and report hazards to promote a safe work environment.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience:

Minimum 3 Years Of Post-qualification Nursing Experience

Must hold a current nursing license in the country of origin

Licensure:

DOH/DHA Medical License (Department of Health or Dubai Health Authority)
