Job Description
The Radiology Manager is responsible for the overall management, leadership, and operational efficiency of the Radiology Department. This role ensures high-quality diagnostic imaging services, compliance with UAE healthcare regulations (DOH/DHA/MOH), optimal staff performance, and patient safety while supporting clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations of the radiology department (X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Interventional Radiology, etc.).
- Ensure efficient scheduling, workflow optimization, and minimal patient waiting times.
- Manage department budgets, cost control, and resource utilization.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, upgrades, and vendor relationships.
Clinical & Quality Oversight
- Ensure imaging services meet international standards and UAE regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance, radiation safety, and infection control programs.
- Maintain compliance with DOH, JCI, and other accreditation standards.
- Handle incident reporting, risk management, and corrective actions.
Leadership & Staff Management
- Lead, supervise, and develop radiographers, sonographers, nurses, and support staff.
- Conduct recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and competency assessments.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous professional development.
- Manage staff scheduling, leave planning, and coverage.
Patient Care & Experience
- Ensure patient-centered care and high standards of service excellence.
- Address patient concerns, complaints, and service recovery effectively.
- Promote safe imaging practices and patient education.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with radiologists, physicians, nursing teams, and hospital management.
- Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
- Support strategic planning and expansion of radiology services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid UAE professional license DOH or eligibility to obtain will be preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in radiology, with 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of imaging modalities, radiation safety, and healthcare regulations in the UAE.
- Experience in hospital or large diagnostic center settings preferred
