The Specialist Radiology is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services and delivering evidence-based patient care within the scope of granted clinical privileges. The role involves interpreting imaging studies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting clinical decision-making, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and report X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other diagnostic imaging studies.
- Perform radiological procedures within the scope of granted clinical privileges.
- Provide accurate and timely reports to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide expert radiological input.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Participate in on-call and emergency radiology services as required.
- Support clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation requirements.
- Contribute to the education and supervision of junior staff and trainees.
- Maintain professional competency through continuous medical education.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical degree.
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Residency Program.
- Specialist qualification in Diagnostic Radiology as per UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR).
- Minimum 2 years of post-specialization experience as a Specialist Radiologist.
- Valid DOH License or DOH Eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Experience in reporting X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, and MRI studies.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of radiology regulations, patient safety, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
