Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiographer/Sonographer to join the Pediatric Department within SEHA facilities in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The role involves performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, with a focus on pediatric patients, ensuring accurate and timely results to support clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound and radiographic imaging procedures in compliance with SEHA protocols, DOH standards, and radiation safety regulations.
  • Provide specialized imaging for pediatric patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and minimal distress during procedures.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, radiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient care.
  • Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
  • Adhere to infection control, patient confidentiality, and safety policies at all times.
  • Educate and reassure patients and their families about imaging procedures.
  • Accurately document patient information, imaging results, and reports in the SEHA electronic medical records system.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and training programs as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Radiography / Medical Imaging / Sonography (from a recognized institution).
  • Valid and active DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) license as Radiographer/Sonographer.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ clinical experience, preferably in pediatric imaging.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound and radiographic procedures, with pediatric specialization considered an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional ethics.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in SEHA or UAE healthcare facilities.
  • Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle emergency cases and adapt imaging techniques for challenging pediatric conditions.
