Job Overview:
The Quality & Infection Control Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing quality improvement and infection prevention programs across Baraya Extended Care facilities. This role ensures compliance with MOH, CBAHI, and international healthcare quality standards, promotes a culture of patient safety, and leads infection prevention initiatives. The manager works closely with clinical and administrative leaders to continuously improve care outcomes and maintain accreditation readiness.
JOB SCOPE:
– Lead quality management and infection control programs across inpatient and outpatient services.
– Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards.
– Monitor, analyze, and report quality indicators and infection control data.
– Conduct audits, risk assessments, and corrective action plans.
– Lead staff education and awareness programs related to quality and infection prevention.
– Support organizational readiness for inspections, surveys, and accreditation visits.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Educations and Certificates:
– Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Medicine, Public Health, or Healthcare Quality.
– Master’s degree in quality management, Patient Safety, or Public Health is preferred.
– Certification in Quality Management and/or Infection Control (e.g., CPHQ, CIC) preferred.
– Valid professional license (if clinically qualified).
Experience:
– Minimum 5–7 years of experience in healthcare quality and infection control.
– Proven experience in managing quality programs and infection prevention initiatives.
– Experience with CBAHI accreditation and MOH regulations is mandatory.
– Leadership or managerial experience is required.
SKILLS AND PORFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
– In-depth knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and patient safety principles.
– Strong understanding of infection prevention and control practices.
– Expertise in CBAHI, MOH, and international healthcare accreditation standards.
– Ability to analyze quality data, trends, and risk indicators.
– Strong leadership, communication, and changing management skills.
– Ability to develop policies, procedures, and performance indicators.
– Excellent reporting, presentation, and training skills.
LANGUAGE:
- Proficiency in written, read and spoken Arabic and English languages

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement programs.
– Establish and track KPIs, patient safety indicators, and outcome measures.
– Conduct regular audits, tracer methodologies, and gap analyses.
– Manage incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
– Lead infection control programs and surveillance activities.
– Monitor healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and implement prevention strategies.
– Develop and update infection control policies and procedures.
– Coordinate outbreak investigations and corrective actions.
– Ensure continuous readiness for CBAHI, MOH, and external audits.
– Lead accreditation preparation, documentation, and follow-up actions.
– Liaise with regulatory bodies and surveyors during inspections.
– Conduct staff training on quality improvement, patient safety, and infection control.
– Promote compliance with hand hygiene, isolation protocols, and safety standards.
– Support departmental leaders in implementing best practices.
– Lead quality and infection control committees.
– Prepare reports for senior management and governing bodies.
– Advise leadership on quality risks, trends, and improvement priorities.
