Job Summary
We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our Neuroscience & Mental Health team. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and supporting patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral conditions while collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, ethical, and highly skilled in delivering psychiatric care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
- Provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare providers.
- Participate in research, education, and continuous professional development.
- Provide consultation and advice to patients, families, and community partners.
- Offer on-call services for emergencies as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Adhere to DOH regulations, international guidelines, and JCI standards.
- Follow hospital safety, OSH, and infection control policies.
- Participate in drills, risk assessments, and emergency response.
- Ensure compliance with waste management protocols and PPE requirements.
Qualification, Education & Experience
- Medical degree with specialization in Psychiatry from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years’ post-specialization experience in psychiatry.
- Licensed in home country + DOH license/eligibility in Abu Dhabi.
- Expertise in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and psychiatric diagnosis.
- Strong understanding of medical ethics, confidentiality, and patient safety.
- Excellent communication in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
