Our state-of-the-art outpatient facility provides day surgery, outpatient consultations, and comprehensive diagnostic services for over 30 clinical specialties.
Mubadala Health Dubai is seeking a skilled and patient‑focused Phlebotomist to join our clinical services team at Mubadala Health Dubai. The role is responsible for performing venipuncture and specimen collection for patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adult, pregnant, and geriatric patients. The successful candidate will ensure accurate, safe, and timely collection, processing, and handling of blood, urine, and culture samples in compliance with M42 and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for pediatric, adult, pregnant, and geriatric patients in accordance with M42 and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) standards.
- Verify patient identity, medical history, and test requirements prior to sample collection.
- Select appropriate phlebotomy techniques, tools, and blood volumes to ensure sample accuracy and quality.
- Collect, label, process, and handle blood, urine, and culture specimens safely and within required timelines.
- Maintain aseptic techniques, infection control, and proper specimen storage and transport at all times.
- Communicate clearly and sensitively with patients to explain procedures and ensure cooperation.
- Prioritize STAT, scheduled, and outpatient requests while maintaining accurate documentation and adequate supplies.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Medical Laboratory Sciences and completion of an approved Phlebotomy program
- Minimum 1 year post‑qualification experience as a Phlebotomist
- Valid DOH or DHA Phlebotomist license
- BLS certification required (ACLS/PALS an advantage, based on specialty)
- Strong knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, laboratory best practices, and relevant regulations
