JOB PURPOSE
- Part of the leadership team, the Pharmacist translates Jayasom’s Health & Wellness strategy into actionable programs and activities throughout the resort.
- Manage the overall pharmacy operations, including control of stock levels, researching, packaging, labelling and dispensing.
- Liaise with guests and colleagues regarding the prescription of supplements and herbs.
- Maximise efficiency of workflow to ensure optimum Pharmacy revenue.
- Ambassador of the company’s wellness and sustainability culture, promote its awareness amongst team members by leading by example and living a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the smooth running of the Pharmacy daily operations.
- Dispense pharmacy items to guests according to recommendations from prescribing practitioners with proper details, indications and contraindications.
- Provide brief consultations for guests with acute sickness and dispense appropriate medicines.
- Maintain optimum stock levels at all times, storing these in a suitable pharmaceutical environment and placing order when necessary.
- Ensure labelling standards and procedures are consistently maintained.
- Produce monthly reports on stock control, revenue and performance of special projects and submit these to appropriate parties.
- Maximise revenues while keeping expenditures low.
- Liaise with guests and prescribing practitioners where needed.
- Ensure all areas of the department meet the safety, cleanliness and hygienic standards at all times.
- Access highly confidential and private information. Protect and promote the guest’s confidentiality, privacy and dignity.
- Continuously challenge the operations and procedures and provide suggestions for improvement to the Doctor.
- Promote Wellness services to the guests.
- Communicate to management any occurrences involving staff or guests in the department that require particular attention.
- Follow through the daily check lists and have a clear understanding of own tasks.
- Handle guests’ queries and complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
- Ensure the health and safety regulations regarding medical waste disposal are applied and kept up to date.
- Support the operations and help when needed, as instructed.
- Ensure (daily) all forms of communication are used to full capacity and relevant information is handed over to the next shift throughout the shift and briefings.
- Obtain all the relevant information from the previous shift, special guests, tasks to be clarified and to be completed and special events.
- Comply with local laws as regulated by the board of pharmacy, maintain records for controlled substances, remove outdated and damaged medicines and supplements from the pharmacy inventory. Keep well informed of new legislations and anticipate legislation by advising management on needed actions.
- Complete daily checklists of duties, to assure that appropriate reports are filed.
- Ensure accuracy of all numbers reported including statistics.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- BA/BsC in Pharmacy or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR
- Fluent in English and Arabic is an advantage

- Previous experience in similar role, ideally in a health & wellness resort
