Job Description
The Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating service activities related to medical and laboratory equipment and services, ensuring timely scheduling, effective communication, and high levels of customer satisfaction. The role acts as a key link between customers, service engineers, and internal departments to ensure smooth service operations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Coordinate and schedule service calls, preventive maintenance, and installations for medical, laboratory and CMI equipment.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding service requests and inquiries.
- Prepare service job orders, work schedules, and service reports.
- Monitor service execution and follow up to ensure completion within agreed timelines.
- Maintain accurate service records, contracts, and customer databases.
- Coordinate with service engineers for parts availability, tools, and technical support.
- Handle service-related complaints and escalate issues when necessary.
- Support the Senior Service Manager with reports, KPIs, and service performance data.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma
- 2–4 years of experience in service coordination, customer support, or operations within a medical laboratory, healthcare, or technical services environment.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of medical laboratory equipment and service workflows.
- Experience with service management systems.
- Ability to prepare service documentation and reports.
- Understanding service contracts and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
WORKING ENVIRONMENT & COMMUNICATION:
Office based with regular coordination with field service engineers and customers.
