Job Purpose:

To provide professional eye care services including vision testing, diagnosis, and prescription, while contributing to sales performance, enhancing customer experience, and supporting store operations.

Key Responsibilities And Duties

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests.
  • Diagnose visual problems and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Develop accurate prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses.
  • Conduct contact lens fitting and follow-up assessments.
  • Educate patients on contact lenses care, usage, and safety.
  • Monitor patient adaptation and manage related concerns.
  • Analyze test results and provide treatment recommendations.
  • Ensure high standards of clinical accuracy and patient safety.
  • Maintain proper documentation and patient records.
  • Support conversion by recommending appropriate lenses and upgrades.
  • Work with sales team to close prescriptions into sales.
  • Contribute to achieving store targets and reducing lost prescriptions.
  • Deliver a professional and trusted healthcare experience.
  • Build patient confidence and long-term relationships.
  • Handle patient concerns and complaints effectively.
  • Support and guide team on prescriptions and eye care basics.
  • Train staff in product knowledge and vision-related topics.
  • Collaborate with store team to improve overall performance.
  • Maintain and ensure proper functioning of clinical instruments.
  • Monitor trial lenses for validity, safety, and usability.
  • Ensure clinic area is compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Follow all clinical, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Maintain ethical practice and patient-first approach.
  • Ensure compliance with SCFHS and healthcare standards.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the job.

  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Good understanding of optical products and sales process.

  • Strong communication and patient counseling skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality care.

Experience

  • 1-4 years’ experience in related field.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in optometry.

Language

  • Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic.
