Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team providing high quality, patient centered cancer care in the community. This role involves supporting oncology and haematology patients across various stages of their treatment journey, delivering specialised nursing care at home.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based oncology nursing care

· Perform central line care and manage vascular devices (PICC, port-a-cath, Hickman)

· Monitor and manage treatment-related symptoms and side effects

· Recognise and escalate oncologic emergencies such as febrile neutropenia and tumor lysis syndrome

· Provide palliative care nursing support where needed

· Educate patients and families on medications, symptom control, and self-care

· Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care

· Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

· Uphold infection control and patient safety standards at all times

Core Clinical Skills

· Venepuncture and cannulation (essential)

· IV fluid administration

· Central venous access care and maintenance

· Symptom management (pain, nausea, fatigue, mucositis, etc.)

· Oncologic emergency recognition and response

· Neutropenic care and infection prevention

· Comprehensive patient assessments and vital signs monitoring

· Palliative care delivery

· Clear and compassionate patient education

· Multidisciplinary team collaboration

Essential Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent

· DHA-licensed or eligible Registered Nurse

· Minimum 2-5years’ experience in oncology or haematology nursing

· Postgraduate qualification or demonstrable expertise in Oncology / Hameatology care

· BLS (required); ACLS (preferred)

· Advanced communication training (desirable)

· Experience in palliative care or willingness to undertake relevant training

· Strong written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages a plus

· Valid UAE driver’s license and willingness to travel for patient visits (travel time is included in your working hours)
